L’Avis Comunale di Ancona, costituitasi nel 1927, è un’Associazione di volontariato (iscritta nell’apposito Registro Regionale e disciplinata dalla Legge 266/91) formata da coloro che donano volontariamente, gratuitamente, periodicamente e anonimamente il proprio sangue.
È un associazione apartitica, aconfessionale, senza discriminazione di razza, sesso, religione, lingua, nazionalità, ideologia politica ed esclude qualsiasi fine di lucro e persegue finalità di solidarietà umana.
All’AVIS possono aderire gratuitamente sia coloro che donano volontariamente e anonimamente il proprio sangue e sia coloro che, pur non potendo per motivi di inidoneità fare la donazione, collaborano però gratuitamente a tutte le attività di promozione e organizzazione.
L’AVIS è una Associazione di volontari: volontari sono i donatori e volontari sono i suoi dirigenti.
